Books-A-Million Alabama
On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 826
Starting from ca. 2014, these types of daily planners are bought by the owner every year. Unlike several of the sketchbooks held at 1505B, these planners are opened and written in every day without fail, with the only periods of emptiness being breaks in the winter and summer seasons. Lots of text and shorthand is used in this planner bordering on illegible, especially as the end of the year draws closer. These spiralbound journals are responsible for keeping one's life together, and these planners offer a review of how one week went compared to another depending on the handwriting and symbols used.
